Sail the Whitsunday Islands

Terms & Conditions

The legal stuff

Our guarantee:
There are currently over 90 sailing vessels for you to choose from to discover the Whitsunday Islands. Some vessels are great, some okay and some you wouldn’t send your arch enemy on.  Here at sailthewhitsundayislands.com.au we have handpicked and selected the best vessels that we think will give you an experience that you will never forget. And if they don’t meet your expectations, we will refund your money (see conditions below)!
During your sail if you are not satisfied with the voyage in regards to the competence of the crew and the trip's total sailing experience, you need to make your feelings known to the skipper as soon as possible. If the skipper is unable to ensure your satisfaction within reasonable means, then the appropriate arrangements need to be made to have you escorted back to land. The cost for doing so will be covered by the person(s) requiring such transport. Upon arriving back to land, you need to return to the check in office and an official complaint needs to be given to the manager of the office. This needs to be in writing and signed by the person lodging the complaint. The letter will then be viewed by the manager when available to do so.  The complaint will then be discussed with the vessel’s crew to ascertain the correctness of the information. If the statement is true and satisfies the manager that the crew were unable to satisfy your needs, then the monies of the deposit made to secure the voyage will be refunded within 14days.
This guarantee is unavailable where weather alone plays a major part in the passenger being unsatisfied with the trip and/or where the passenger succumbs to travel sickness and is sea sick.

All prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.  Quoted prices exclude National Park and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park entry fees, administration fees and hire equipment which is payable upon check in. There is a fee levied on all passengers to cover park entry fees and administration costs.  Fees are charged by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and Queensland Parks and Wildlife for entry into the Marine and National Parks and the overall booking fee includes these costs in addition to our administration costs.  These costs are subject to change and are payable at check in.  At the time of printing a total fee of $39 (approx. $13/day) is recommended by the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association for a 3 day cruise to cover all these costs and includes Environmental Management Charge of $5.00 per day, commercial activity permit fee of $1.45 per day, plus administration and Goods and Services Tax of $6.55 per day. There is a 2% surcharge for credit card purchases. Prices are valid at time of publishing from 1 April 2007 until 31 March 2009.

All activities, excluding diving, are covered in the cost of the cruise.  Meals, onboard accommodation, use of snorkel equipment and inclusion of a professional skipper and vessel hosts are included in the price. Prices do not include airfares. Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury or loss due to the actions of passengers that are beyond our control. All cruises are subject to weather and Oz Adventure Sailing’s, Southern Cross and Whitsunday Cruises discretion.

Cancellations made less than 21 days before the cruise departure date will result in complete forfeiture of the entire booking price. For cancellations made greater then 21 days before the cruise departure date you will be refunded your deposit. We reserve the right to substitute vessels without notice at any time for any reason. We recommend you take out travel insurance.
